what is the differance in auto center carb and 4sp center carb?

hi

idle circut is set to run richer to not stall at idle in the auto when in gear.

i am going to run a set of 70 carbs on my 69 4sp car [4383,4382 and 4376] while i rebuild my 69 carbs and didn't know how it would run with center carb being a auto.i guess i won't be able to tell much differance in the way it runs. thanks for reply

They both use the same 6020 metering block,4 spd main jetting is one size richer than auto.

They all will work fine for you up scope
I've had a bunch of different six packs on a lot of different motors, stock to all out fast race motors with a lot of different List number carbs. with no problems other than getting the outboard carbs to open the way I wanted them to wrench Lots of fun dialing in carbs. grin

Curb idle speeds and fast idle speeds are set differently also. They have all the different list numbers of carbs so they can pick the right one off the shelf for the engine/Trans combination.
