Other possible causes are: if using a newer radiator hose, they are thinner in wall diameter, the Corbin clamps offered by the repro market are spot on, this unfortunately leaves the clamp with less clamping power, and trying to reduce the diameter of the Corbin clamp by squeezing it smaller before install, results in "egging" it, causing it to still leak, maybe worse? If I'm using new radiator hoses I buy new Corbin clamps from McMaster Carr as they offer a wider array of sizes and they look factory original.
Another cause for leaks is if the hose had a wormgear/band clamp on it prior and you replaced it with a Corbin, it will leak, only fix is a new hose
