Does anyone know the center to center distance of an A-body dash speaker (70 Duster or similar)? I'm making an adapter bracket for 2x 3.5" speakers.

Thanks!

The original dash speaker is a 4x10 .
Their are people already selling the 2 x 3.5 " brackets, I think a member here sell one.
Also , you can buy them already made with the speakers from turnswitch.com .
That might save you some time and hassle from making your own bracket.

Thanks, but I already got one of the ebay adapters that are like $6, it will work other than the C-C mounting distance being different. I basically just need to make some extensions out of some 1/8" aluminum to the right dimensions and I'll be done. Already have the speakers too.

Was hoping someone knew so I wouldn't have to crawl under the dash and try to measure around all the other stuff...or second guess myself.

That's all I did in my truck. The original dash speaker was still in there. I just removed it, traced it onto a piece of .063 aluminum and cut it out.
