Does anyone recertify blankets or do you just have to throw them away every two years? Do they "expire"? Also, to avoid linkage issues, wrap the blanket around the torsion bar. You may need a strap, bolted to the dust cover, to keep it off the headers. But this is the best way to install a blanket.

Yes the SFI certification is only good for two years on blankets, five years on rigid shields. I have since learned that Stroud Safety will recertify their blankets. I don't know about other companies but I know not all will do this.
