Has anyone used a trans. blanket from A&A? Was wondering how well it fit, and who makes it for them? It's going in a '67 b body.

I like my blanket. It wasn’t A&A. I think it was RCI. Fit fine, but the shift and kick down linkages can be an issue. I made a small guard to hold the blanket off the levers.

Does anyone recertify blankets or do you just have to throw them away every two years?

Do they "expire"?

Also, to avoid linkage issues, wrap the blanket around the torsion bar. You may need a strap, bolted to the dust cover, to keep it off the headers. But this is the best way to install a blanket.

Yes the SFI certification is only good for two years on blankets, five years on rigid shields.

If your running fender well headers robinhoodblankets.com has the complete solution. They are also working on under chassis headers blankets and one for the 727 push button transmission.

I have since learned that Stroud Safety will recertify their blankets. I don't know about other companies but I know not all will do this.
