I am going to upgrade the exhaust on my ‘72 Charger. What I’d like to do is utilize the existing 2.5” system but add cut outs and install side exit tips. Everything can be bought of course and pieced together but what about “ovalizing” pipe where necessary and making it all a dyi job?

I bought 3-1/2" elbows and made all my own from the headers back with an X pipe to the mufflers then reduced it down to 3" all the way back thru factory modified tips. Only took the afternoon to do. Most exhaust shops want around 600.00 +/- and that was with me supplying everything. Did it myself for much less.

Yea that looks like a lot of nice stuff. They are now certainly an option. I had not heard of them. Thanks.

As far as Dr. Gas I emailed them a couple months ago to start the ball rolling and got no response.

I know custom exhaust places can end up being pricey and in most cases for good reason. But for convenience and satisfaction I'm interested in trying it at home.
