I was always curious as to why the A12 RR had the little bulge (not sure what to call it) design in front of the scoop when a standard hood was flat in that area. I am assuming it's molded from a Satellite hood, but never really thought about it. The A12 SB has the ridge and contours of the N96 hood and the Power Bulge hood (as far as I can see since those hoods are harder to find decent pics on the internet) so that one makes sense to me. Just a random thought that finally looking for a possible answer to.

Actually a 68-69 Plymouth Belvedere / Satellite hood did have that bulge area that is shared with a 69 1/2 road runner. They aren't exact, but very similar.

It seems quite obvious that there were only two hoods to possibly mold from and that scoop would have looked like crap on a RR hood.
