So newly painted dash is installed etc. I know I have read of grounding issues/fixes.. whats the right way etc..?

Well the factory just bolted them in and relied on bare metal contact through the frame and bolts to achieve grounding.

On a 71 there was a ground reinforcing wire that was on the left side that went from the dash frame to the car's structure around where the kick panel is. Maybe a 70 is the same, the service manual tell about it.

That may a problem... all painted
