Many '69 model year Mopars had the entire VIN stamped on the eng/trans.
Many , I rarely see 69 blocks and trans stamped with full vin , of all the 69 blocks I have only ONE had the full vin , that one I think was out of a charger 500 , I have a few transmissions and they are all early , prior to jan 69 , vin squences .

What's the deal with the motor and trans numbers? Did some plants put only the last 8 digits, and some the entire VIN number? I'm looking at a '69 Charger, and saw the entire VIN. I thought it was only the last 8 digits. What's up?
I can't speak to all plants but since you have a Charger, you'd be interested what the St. Louis and Hamtrack plants did. From what I've seen, both plants used all 13 digits at least through late November. Early built 69's would have all of the VIN on the engine and tranny.
Seeking:
1969 St. Louis plant VINs, SPD, and VONs. Over 2,000 thanks to you!
