Can anyone tell me if on a 63 440 dodge Max wedge car the body was painted a different colour in between the chrome trim. For example if the car was red would it be white in between the chrome down the sides? or was it the same as the rest of the body

My '63 440 was white with red between the trim strips, it had a red interior.

I didn't own a decent camera "back in the day" so this fuzzy pic is all I have.

I had a '63 with blue interior, it was blue between the strips.

The painted body stripe is supposed to match the interior color - as the guys here are showing.

My max is Robins egg blue with a dark blue
stripe between. Lite blue interior, I think its
on the fender tag.
