topside OP Too Many Posts Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 20,813 A collage of whims	Seems like 8-10.5 is the rim-width range they call for; who's running what size? I've heard 10" wide is best. Given the rearend width & leaf spring location (3/4" relocation brackets) that's with on this car (Duster), 10" wide with a 5" BS would be perfect, but that's a really hard BS to find; 4.5" avoids spacers, so that's next best... (I've already pie-sliced the front of the opening, trimmed the wheel-opening flange, and rolled its upper edge, so I have 13.5" of wheelhouse width, and there's 6.5" from drum face to springs.)

Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,223 Bend,OR USA	I ran that size on my 12.0 inch wide Weld rims on my Duster with ladder bars and full tubs to the stock location inner sub frames, the M/T 315x60x15 ET street radials worked better on that car though Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I have to let them down to 12 lbs or so to get them to lay the full face on the pavement. And 12 lbs is too low. What rims are you considering? Most companies will build your backspace on a special order. Cragar did mine. You may want to consider the 275/60 Rs on a 10" rim. They would lay better with the 10" rims IMHO. The only reason I don't do that myself is because I like the look of those huge 295s on the back of the Cuda. Master, again and still

I run 8.5" wide rims on my cuda w/ the 295-65 radial basically b/c of my stock width rear, a 10" won't fit. Seems to work ok though. Best 60 foot footbraking on motor is 1.320. Best on nitrous so far is a 1.30 w/ a very delayed nitrous hit. I appreciate the responses; funny that the only Duster so far is Cab's which is a very different animal than this car. I saw one Duster with 325s under it (!) but the guy didn't know the wheel size or BS. Once I get the diff, axles & drums back in it I'll re-measure everything for the 5th time and maybe even fab a cardboard example to try to only do this once. Pretty much gotta go 15x10, just need to nail the BS.

Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,223 Bend,OR USA	I think that both of the sets of the M/T Street radials tires I ran(295x65x15, 315x60x15) had the same circumference when measure with a seamstress tape, but maybe not as that was a long time ago I have 96.0 inch circumference for both in my mind, the 315x60x15 on a ten inch wide rim and the 295x65x15 on the 12 inch wide rims I ran 4.10 rear gears in the car most of the time and I would see a 500 RPM drop switching from the 315x60x15 E.T. Street radials to the larger diameter 10.5x31x15W M/T slicks which had right at 102 inch circumference on the ten inch rims, no real MPH change in the 1/4 mile though that I remember, just RPM recorded on the VDO playback tach in the car Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Then I pulled the wheel and used a plumb bob to mark out everything on the cardboard. The spring, hub, wheel well, etc. That is the most accurate way I have found to KNOW where everything is and to have a constant reference when researching wheels. And be sure to do both sides to catch any differences. Master, again and still
