Saw this on CL. CL link In the description it says left hand igition, and sure enough from the pic it does. Question I have is this standard? Honestly never noticed before.

I think all the 69's were left side of dash ign switches. C bodies. ^^X2. C bodies only. It was also a one-year-only dashboard ignition switch in 1969 (A-B-C bodies).

Have had 5-69 Polaras/Monacos all had left hand ignition.

69 one year only ignition switch for C body. Maybe Chrysler was trying to woo some full sized ford owners since they had the key on the left as well. Ditto Ford pickups up to 1972.

Remember the Fords. Also remember that almost all auto Fords you had to lift the shifter when in the park position.Worked on quite a few at the shop back in the 60s and my buddys drove them.Rocky

To have the ignition on the left is a kind of status-symbol based on the race car history of Porsche. In the 20s the drivers had to run to their cars and to start them. To speed it up Porsche but the ignition button on the left side. As racing was/is expensive, the left side button became a kind of exclusive symbol. And C-bodies where big and maybe they thought "we need to make them appear more exclusive".
