The question should read what is argent? Stupid autocorrect Dave ss/ea #1355

"Argent" is the French word for "silver" it does not describe texture.

So, there is "Argent" (Silver) and "Textured Argent" (Textured Silver).

To make it even more confusing there were several different shades of Argent available over the years used on various parts (Textured and none textured).

Hold your head up! Answers are coming! I kinda always wanted to know all these tech. differences as well. Like why is the shaker silver and the grill darker on a '70 'Cuda? Which argent paint wasn't textured?

I know Ron, just wanted to know about how it was applied to the 70 hemi Cudas I had. Shaker compared to grill fish gills & back valance. I thought shaker & fish gills appeared highly textured. Just wanted to know in case I ever had an opportunity to own one again. And I know all about the cladding I ordered it that way to beat the high insurance surcharges for a muscle car that was rampant back then. Dave ss/ea #1355
