Trying to help out a local customer who needs to pick up a stock replacement quality drive shaft. His car is a 1970 Duster 340, 4 speed, stock 8.75 axle. He bought it without a drive shaft and needs a new one complete, nothing over the top OE, just a good street driver replacement. Any recommended sources?

Stock should be: #2883760 - 2.75 48.96" with 7260 U-Joints

I got my driveshaft from Mancini as its a "Victory" driveshaft. Been in my 63 since 2006 and still looking good. But I had to give them a center to center U-joint cap measurement. I am more then pleased with that driveshaft. Ron

Check the "A Body parts for sale".

Member blewbyu has several that may work.

You might have a local drive shaft shop in your area.

There's a shop in Post Falls on Seltice that's very good and reasonable; been happy with a couple he's done for me.

I'd go local... Pittsburgh Driveshaft made mine for under $200 and even installed my Moog bearings and Mark Williams forged yoke for free.

Give Nick a call. There's a driveline service in Yakima that's really good.

If you have a local driveline or truck shop that makes them, just give em a call. They'll likely be cheaper than anyone you have to call and have it shipped to you. My local big truck shop has been making mine for the past several years and never had an issue w/ them.

i have found places that do big truck driveshafts somewhat a hit and miss when it comes to doing a car shaft. balancing is an issue because these shafts turn relatively slower than a car shaft, so they are balanced at whatever speed the truck place deems adequate for a big rig. secondly, truck shafts runout can be a lot more than a car and still be acceptable. it depends on several factors if you will, or can be, satisfied with a shaft from a truck place. myself, i would settle for nothing less than high speed balancing [two to three times faster than the truck places] and very minimal [.005-.008] runout in a driveshaft. that's just me. your results may vary.......

I've got a local place I use, usually just cut down a C-body one.
