It's a lot cheeper to make a mistake with a piece of wood than aluminum. Looks good.

I think the only trying will be for proper fit before the aluminum chips start flying

Yep. Bigwedge is tapping a few holes in the wood and then it will be trial fit to the block in the car to check fitment and clearances. Mike has the aluminum already and once satisfied with the fit, the aluminum goes into the CNC.

Not exactly sure what you are asking but I suspect you mean how much air space above the oil line to the lowest point of the crank when the engine is running? What is not shown in the picture is the deflector/scraper that attaches to the passenger side of the skirting. This will have a five stage pump so each of the depressions in the lower pan will have a scavenge line.

What do you mean by the "air volume"?

Is this something your planning on selling? I'd be interested.

Hi Craig,

I/we would most certainly be interested in selling these. This one is set up for a 340 R3 block with a front timing belt. What we have chosen to do is make a mock-up in MDF board to make sure the design works. Once we are satisfied with it, we are going to have one made out of aluminum.
