Actually, it kinda was...it began as a 361 I believe....
by that "logic" a 440 is a stroker motor too. Still isn't a [censored] Chevy.

Cab,All RB's are 3.75" stroke stock.I had to look up the bore dimension,I found 4.03" for the RB 383 engine.

I also have a good friend with an all original 60 Windsor wagon with a 383 RB. 3.75 stroke


1.50 60Ft. , 10.75@ 127MPH Hauling 3900 LBS.

Forget the 440/B/RB stuff. G3 hemi is the only way to go

It actually began as a 350 then 361 to 383 and then 400. I had heard the RB 383 was built for two years but I am not 100% sure on that. Ron

If you don't have any B/RB stuff now, absolutely. The transmission bolts up to the small block, and you're going to have to change the engine mounts anyway. Much better heads and no waiting for unobtanium, overpriced aftermarket blocks. Lighter than a B/RB too. twocents
