Well everything is for sale........For the right price I found something that interests me and has been for sale for a fair amount of time with no price change. Just curious what is going on with these kind of cars. Are they still bringing premium money these days?

In my opinion, high end cars come with high end owners. Most know what the cars cost to build, and even if they aren't quick to sell, the owners can usually afford to hang onto them.
That being said, especially over time, everything is negotiable....
11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.
9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.

probably why it is still for sale. It is a buyers market for anything, even high end racecars. I just bought a very high end 6.0 roller for about 1/3 of the build cost including 10clutch T/S trans and 10" nitrous convertor, bottles, racepak, etc.
what I found is the owners of the name brand cars, Bickel, Haas, etc. are less apt to lower the price significantly. Trust me, even the rich have fallen on hard times. The largest home builder in our county just laid off ALL his employees yesterday, was on the cover of todays paper.
here is a sneak peek!

I think times are harder in most places in the country and that being said you might make the owner a offer, the most he will say is no. I'm sure he thinks if he waits he MIGHT get his price.... but then again he might be hurting also

Well I'm graduating this year with a degree in Economics so here is the basic theory which for the most part holds true. High end race cars or high end items in general can be classified as luxury goods. Regardless of how the general economy is doing, these higher end items aren't affected nearly as much as your standard everyday good. Although there might be some effect (price goes down), its hard to quantify the amount on an individual basis. The only real thing you can do is talk to the owner and try to determine why they are selling it and how hard up for cash they are. Super luxury goods such as yachts or other items that millionaires/billionaires purchase aren't effected at all in times like these. And sales of inferior substitute goods, cheap beer, top ramen things of that nature actually see jumps in sales.
