I've been having a lot of trouble trying to get my FITECH 1200/E85/Procharged 340 working right because of a combination of procharger tensioner and FITECH tuning problems that are preventing me from really being able to go WOT to tune.

I decided to go back to basics, just to get everything working right because it is a new motor and the constant barrage of stalling at WOT, overfueling etc... can't be good for it.

Right now I am running a BR7EF for E85 and boost. What plug do you guys recommend going with for running this setup on 93 octane with no boost? I was thinking same plug, just two heat ranges hotter possibly?

I'm also just curious as to how much power this engine might make off boost? It's a 340 bored .030 over, ported W2 econo heads (flow benched at around 295cfm @ .600 lift), ported Indy single plane,.609 lift 242/246@.050 112LSA solid roller, 1 7/8ths headers and of course the FITECH 1200. Compression with the big cam kills it as an all motor setup I'm sure, but my guess was probably around 450hp? I know this exact top end was propelling another member's A body into the mid 9 second range in a 10.5:1 40X cid LA, his guess was about 600hp. I've got far less cubes and compression.

I'd love to be able to beat my friend's pontiac with this running all motor just for bragging rights, but I don't know if it'll have the juice to get my E body into the 12.0 e/t range with the 3.91's and 3300 or so stall. Maybe I'm wrong.

Sounds like some issues I faced. Separate any EFI wires ran around any MSD wires. They can not be close. Run MSD dizzy. This is what most EFI systems are engineered too. Get Firecore plug wires and use the plug boot lube. Ground each head separate and I ran a ground block in the rear that everything grounds too.
Chassi grounds suck when you start going boost. It strains the ignition system like no other way.

Tighten plug gap to .020

Fast68, whoops lol it's about 9.3:1 give or take .1. I can't recall exactly what cranking psi was but I want to say 175.

Fastmop, you may be right about the grounds. I had EMI/RFI issues upon first startup that I thought I fixed when I re-routed the VR wires and sheathed them in DEI titanium sleeve. I run an MSD pro billet and an older analog 6al box. I only have one ground from rear mounted batt to chassis and one from pass head to firewall/blower motor. It's a huge 2/0 cable, but I probably should add more or ground the rear batt directly to the block. Still, some of the issues I'm having is with the blower tensioner setup as well, so rather than have to diagnose multiple problems at once I'm just going to try to get it running N/a first.
