Hey guys, I've used the search function to death but haven't come up with what I am looking for. I am putting together a 5.9 magnum. It's going into my 72 duster I am building for the $3,000 hooptie challenge at the Zip Tie Drags in Tuscon. It's a full bodied duster (lightened by rust) with the 5.9, an RPM air gap intake, the stock magnum heads a 727 with 2500 stall, and an 8.8 explorer rear with 3.something gears (that't the plan anyway). I'm curious what hyd roller cams have worked for you all in 5.9's with stock heads. I could possibly upgrade the valvesprings as well but that $3k limit is approaching quickly. Would like it to run well N/A but have a 150 shot that may be used. Thanks for your time and input.

Do upgrade the valve springs, they can barely handle a stock cam.

@sixpackgut PM Sent!!

Looks like a good spring kit. Anyone have experience with what grind works well in something like this combo?
