Does anyone out there know of a track near Austin Texas? I'm going to be there March 14-18 and was hoping to check out the scene at a different track.

I don't know of one in Austin, but the San Antonio Raceway isn't too far away (it is NOT in San Antonio).
You just get on I-35 headed south, exit 123 in San Marcos and head SE toward Seguin, when you get in Seguin you get on I-10 and head west for about 10 miles. It's right off of I-10 on the right.
It's about a 50 minute drive from Austin, but it's a pretty nice track.

There is Little River (aka Temple). I haven't been there in years. It's close to Waco.

As mentioned, San Antonio Raceway on I-10 (acutally in Marion) is the nearest "big" track. They run Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. You're about the same distance from Little River in Temple (actually in Academy/Little River) which is kind of a historic little track. I'm not sure of their hours but the bracket races are usually on Sunday afternoons.

OK I'M PROBABLY ASKING A LITTLE MUCH HERE, BUT I AM BLOCKED AT WORK FOR SPORTS SO I CAN NOT BRING UP PAGE. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANY THING SCHEDULED AT THE TEMPLE OR SAN ANTONIO TRACKS ON SAT EVENING MARCH 14TH OR SUN MARCH 15TH? IF NOT I'LL WAIT TILL I GET HOME - THX AGAIN FOR THE HELP ON TRACK LOCATIONS.

I think Little River is the track my '67 Belvedere, 'Cajun Stripper', ran as a SS/D back in '70-'72.
Do you have any old pics of that track?
