whats the best procedure to test a 70+ hide away motor? i see a ground tab as well as the + and - plug.
ground the tab and power up the plug? i know to not run it to the stop just want to see if it still works.
i can figure it out just though on of you guys would know the proper way
apply Ground/negitive/- to the ground tab, then apply hot/+/power to either one (but not to both at the same time) of the 2 leads in the 2 prong male/female connector to "forward or reverse" the motor
The headlight motors internals have a mechanical as well as electrical stops, so no need to worry about hitting the stops (power window motors are another story, they rely on the window regulator to stop/bind them, no internal stops)headlight motors need to hit the electrical stop, so that when the dash switch changes position, the other lead in the plug harness now becomes hot/power/+ to reverse direction, plus when the motor hits it stops, it's basically transferring the opposing stop to be ready to receive a "command" power wise from the dash switch, plus it diables the motor electrically so it dosen't short/burn out holding an electrical load
