Oh

Found this listed on ebay by Gearheadworld. Does anyone know who makes this distributor? My father in law is looking at purchasing this kit for his 340 and I would like to find some more info on it. Any input would be great.

Looks like a china copy of an Aussie Bosch style distributor..

There was another member (JD340 was it?) that bought a similar one, and we posted pics and it was a copy for sure of an old Bosch Oz (Used in Holdens and Fords) one I had here...same type ignition module under that cover and everything..

That looks just like the street dist that 440 source sells. I bought one of the source ones to get my Chrysler going. They said it isn't tunable, so it may or may not be what you need/want. For a driver, I'd be concerned about parts availability. I think I'm gonna run a Mopar Perf unit in my GTX so it is serviceable anywhere.

i bought the Procomp distributor for my 440 - it does have bosch internals if i remember correctly...it works excellent - been in for over a year now...what sucks is getting parts - have to order them from procomp in CA...i had to get a new cap as mine was damaged in shipping (i hate those male terminals - good connection but weak point in structure imo)
