Just bought a set of upper door panels from legendary, and learned that you need to cannibalize your old panels and reuse the metal frames, front and rear to make them work, thus destroying the old ones. My existing panels are nice drivers and would prefer to keep them. I found a well used set of uppers from a 73-74 roadrunner. Does anyone know if the metal frames are the same between 71-72s and 73-74s?

I think they're different. The curve by the 1/4 windows is different on the door uppers and rear uppers.

71/72 Chargers are a diff monsters from 73/74 Chargers BUT I think all 71/74 Plymouths upper DOORS ( MAYBE not quarters due the diff opening shape ) will interchange.

HOWEVER, I think if 73/74 is somehow a bit diff, COULD be made to fit on 71/72 ?

just thinking out loud

looking at the rear quarter shape of 73/74.... I think will be posible because the slope seems to be the same up to the cut where is where the upper panel reachs, just the "vertical" section seems to change and this is covered by the sail panel

HOWEVER, mostly sure 73/74 hardtop/coupe Charger into a 71/72 Plymouth will be posible too... quarter window opening shape is the same

IN FACT a full 73/74 Charger hardtop/coupe setup should work on a 71/72 Plymouth... that gives more posibilities
