O.K. My engine has casting #2536430 & 6 29 66 on the passenger side of the block and C440 HP 8 18 on the boss by the water pump. My build sheet shows a build date of 301 which I presume is March 1 of 1967 (if I am interpreting my build sheet correctly). What do you think the chances are of the engine being the original for my car with that much gap between dates? 8/18 is 8/18/66 , what are the other dates on the car , also look at the front of the K frame , it may have a 4 digit date code stamped on it , what does it say ? Is the car original or restored ?
running up my post count some more .

an "In Plant" date is on a St. Louis (plant #7) assembled broadcast sheet & a "Shipped" date is on a '67's IBM card
but the chance of an August '66 assembled 440HP block ending up 6+ months later in a February/March '67 assembled GTX are slim to NONE
care to share or email a pic of the broadcast sheet?
thanks - dhead68@hotmail.com I'm glad you said that ... I was thinking it ...
