Anyone do this swap? Just curious as to what manifolds were used. Saw a project today and the manifolds were fight against the firewall.

There is a turquoise truck running around Phoenix somewhere, he did it probably 6 years ago, beautiful truck! Can't remember what manifolds he used though. Here is a link from sweptline.org

There are 3 different exhaust manifold configurations for a 5.7. I believe they will show up in a google search. Someone posted a picture of all 3 together so you can see the differences.

The Jeep 5.7 has a shorter rear movement with a straight down exit, but are the most restrictive.
The truck extends back, more then a Jeep, and points at about 45 degrees down.
The Charger/300 manifolds are much larger diameter, and extend rearward more then the truck manifolds and also points about 45 degrees downward.

On my son's 57 wagon, we needed to use a truck manifold on the driver side, and the Charger manifold on the passenger side to clear things. The Charger manifold has a 3" outlet and the truck has a 2 1/2" outlet! It may sound bad, but even the truck outlet is larger then the 5.0 Magnum that was in the car. Gene

I put a 5.7 in a 71 d100 and used 6.1 exhaust manifolds.

I was a 1971 D100 sweptline pickup with a Fatman IFS. I'll try to upload a pic or two.

They are from a 6.1 hemi. I think they are same as the 6.4 also.

It's like a vicious circle.

What was the donor vehicle for the exhaust manifolds you used?

I'm not sure, I believe they where from a car and not a jeep or truck. I thought these 6.1 manifolds were all the same but maybe not.

I know a guy who is having a pro touring style early 60s Truck built with all modern Hemi drive train. But I think he is using headers. And I am almost certain he is using an aftermarket chassis .
I havent seen him in about a year. So for all I know the truck might be done. Ill have to ask around
