Putting a drag pack ta scoop on my 71 challenger. I cut off the Sixpack scoop off of my MAS hood. This hood already has a raised center section of 3" and the drab pack scoop is almost 2 inches taller than the Sixpack scoop. I think it is going to look ok. Opinions?

Hey you stole my idea... JK.
Seriously, I had been thinking hard about doing the same modification. Can't wait to see how it comes out.
Good luck with it.

It all depends on how far up or down the scoop is on the hood. You have to mock it up and look at it from all angles and light. Are you going to paint it the hood color, flat black it or contrast. Certain scoops will look funny, odd or just off if not done right. Take the example of the aero scoop. Looks good on a dragster but on a car it looks awful. If you take the same scoop, add a little length and back it up to the windshield, it looks like aerodynamic art. I've seen this scoop up close and far away. Far way it looks good but up close it can be too big. Flat blacked and it looks better. The Challenger has big body panels and the scoop matches those panels. A 60-70's car has narrow panels and the scoop can overpower the rest of the car.

Just make sure it's not too far forward and you will be golden.

It'll look good. BradH did the same thing on his challenger a while back.

Who makes a Drag Pak T/A scoop? I haven't seen one advertised before.

This one is off of a drag pack car, I got lucky and found it. I believe the guy that had it lost the hood in the big end and damaged it. He bought a new hood and the scoop came with new hood, I was able to buy the old one from him. I have been looking for one for sometime

Sort of. I started with a reproduction '70 T/A hood and had a local fiberglass specialist raise the top of the scoop about 1-1/2". Mine looks Drag Pak-ish, but definitely different than what the OP is doing.
