If you have a 12 volt battery and the correct coil, you can test it. MSD website tells how.

I sent a 6AL box to MSD to have rebuilt and it was less than $30.00 with shipping included.They also lengthened the wires and installed the latest internals.It was the best $30.00 I ever spent on a used part. Gus
