Does anyone offer a piston for a 383 using a 86 cc head that will get you 9.5-10.0 compression with out having them custom made or fly cutting? So far the only option I have seen is the Kieth Black KB400.

Thanks
Dan

That's it, you need a DOME or you need small chambers ... around 79.5 cc ... with a flat top piston at zero deck, OR a stroke increase, to get that amount of compression in the small bore and stroke of the 383 .

I couldn't find anything else either. I know storker kits are gaining popularity, but come on, what abuot us 383 stock stroke guys.

I guess I may go stroker with the 383 I have for an upcoming 68 Road Runner project. Hey John, didn't you used have pistons for that application?

I'm not throwing out the stroker just because it's the IN FAD here on moparts , it's one of the 2 ways to accomplish what this particular person wants to do with a specfic chamber volume .

Yes I have 2 sets of piston , both are for stroker applications but could be used in a stock stroke engine with a 6.965 rod ... but try and find that length rod as the supply is almost dried up ... the flattop needs a SMALL chamber to get that compression at zero deck , the other is a net 9.9ishcc dome piston that would be the same as using the KB400. Someone at KB needs to pull their head out of their backside and make their 1.908 CH piston with a STEP HEAD and a little smaller , like 4cc , valve relief so us 383 guys set on using open chamber heads have a piston that will get us close to 10.1 on a budget .
