I called 2 local tire shops, one quoted Hancook highway tires, roughly $750, the other quoted Falken for $700, I would prefer American made, don't know much about the Hancooks.

It has Michelins now, I don't have a Costco card, but will look into that as a option.

I have Fierce Attitude M/T tires on my '01 2500 4x4. I've had them for roughly 6 years and have about 60k miles on them. They still have a lot of life left in them too. I believe they are a Goodyear tire. They are 315-75-16 and load range E. The vast majority of driving I do w/ my truck is pulling a trailer. I realize this tire isn't gonna work on your 2wd truck, but if you came across a size in this particular tire/brand that would work, they are a good tire.

I run the Hankooks on my '09 4x4 Cummins. Great tire that wears really well with minimal road noise. Very pleased.

Hankook is a Korean Company. Falken is a division of Sumitomo, a Japanese company. It seems that all tire companies have manufacturing all around the world. If you really want to know where the particular tire was manufactured, you have to know the codes. There are several websites that have lists of codes, but recently the USDOT changed the plant identifier from two characters to three. The lists may not be up to date. the Law that governs this is here: https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SI...74&rgn=div5If you find a plant code on a tire you can check it here: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/For Example, you find a tire with the plant code "A1" So you check the box for Equipment Plants and from the dropdown menu select "Tires" Hit the Search button on left lower part of page. You should get a response that the old DOT code was "A1" and the new DOT code is "1A1" The tire manufacturer is Michelin and the country of manufacture is France. So once again don't expect anything from the government to be easy to use or understand. Good luck in your tire selection process. I have found Tire Rack to be very informative and they have ratings both pro and consumer for nearly every tire they sell. R.

My 04 dodge 3500 dually came with Good Year SR A's, they last about 100,000 miles on my truck, basic road tire. Getting close for the 3rd set at 300,000 miles shortly.

When I got 100,000 out of the factory tires why would I buy anything else? I wanted to change to a different Goodyear tire for my truck at one time thinking that I only use it for mostly highway towing. Goodyear only makes ONE tire for our trucks and that is why I haven't changed. The old lady's Exploder has some Hancooks and they have been good.

I just put some Michelin tires on the front of my 2008 D3500.
The best deal I found was at Discount Tire.
I like them so far. I have had great luck with Michelin tires on other vehicles over the years.

When I bought my 93 ram 3500 in '03, it had Toyo open country tires. They went over 70,000 more mile, heavily loaded the whole time. Then I put on some Goodyears. In 6 months, one of them had ply separation. This reminded me of all the trouble I have had with Goodyear tires in the past. So I sold the other 5 on craigslist, and bought 6 new Toyos. I don't like the name, it sounds to japanese for me. But they are excellent tires made in Georgia, at a reasonable price, so thats what I have, and what I reccommend.
