As the name says, what does it do? I keep getting a message on my screen saying to upgrade. Is this something to make the car run better or one more intrusion into my car, or more feedback to the corp-whoever? As far as I know I don't use any of the u connect now, I enjoy driving the car, I don't want to be entertained and 95% of the time the screen is turned off.

Just what I thought, more info BS you don't need unless you can't walk and chew bubblegum at the same time. Too bad I can't take it all out!

They are some really features, you should give them a chance before calling it BS.

I don't use it on my 2016 RAM (have never engaged the accept or download button). If you're like me and don't carry a smart phone it's of little use. Even if I did use a smart phone, I have little interest in "remote starting", "theft tracking or recovery" and the other features the program offers.

I agree, I throughly enjoy DRIVING my SRT, that's all the entertainment I need. If I need excitement I nail it to feel the noise and speed. One should have the option to turn it off and stay off. When you're 80% deaf like me it's useless. I still know how to find my car and go out in the cold to start it.

You still might want to update. One of the updates fixed a vulnerability that hackers used to do "remote starting", "theft tracking and recovery" and a few other things to make life interesting driving your truck. If your vehicle has been in the dealership for service, they did the update for you.

Funny you say the dealer would update. I had mine in about two months ago fixing an abs wheel sencer and the saying to update started right after that. Wonder why they didn't address this then?

I just did the upgrade. Gave me a new way to access the Drive Modes. No danger in doing it. I use it for WAZE (it talks thru the radio and tells me about hazards and speed traps). to make calls without touching the phone, and for music on a USB or micro SD card.
