I have a 1971 383 2brl. I want a little more out of it.Is it worth swapping the heads for a set of 916's that I have. How much more compression do you think it will give me? I plan on using this cam (Advertised Duration 272/ 282, Lift .442/ .465). auto with a 2800 stall converter and 4:10 gears. Car is 3500 lbs.

If you switch to a set of 915 or 516 closed chamber heads it will likely give you a .5 increase in compression. If you are going to swap them maybe mill them enough to get it up to 9.5=1.That will work really well with the cam you have picked.
If you use the 516 heads enlarge the exhaust valve to your 1.74 stock size.
If you have a 906 head it will give you no increase at all.
