I am mounting a stock size max wedge scoop from sled city. I have had the scoop for a while, but just now trying to get it on and get the hood finished.

first question is how close to the back of the hood is the back of the scoop.

second question is should the bottom of the scoop need to be worked to sit flat on the hood?? i have about a 3/8" gap at both rear corners, i don't think i should pull it down that much with the mouting bolts.

just want to check before i get too far along. i searched and looked at many pictures of these scoops mounted, but no good detail on where to mount and i seen alot of gaps in some of the pictures??

The Sled City scoop I have fit like crap. I ground as much off the bottom as I could,still pulls the hood down a little when I tighten it down. Guess it's Bondo time. I've mounted mine 3" from the back edge of the hood,measured in the center. Good luck!
