I broke one of my hydraulic lines for the convertible top on my 67 Barracuda. Is there a replacement kit that is better than the others? It looks like most replacements are universal kits so I assume the lines are extra long. Is there one kit that fits better than the others? What hydraulic fluid does the system use?

Last night I took my top motor apart and looked to see if anyone made a seal kit for them. I stumbled across this company. They list the lines. The picture doesn't look like it's a universal kit. Have a look.

They say that the lines have a 5 year warrantee if you use ATF...3 years if you use brake fluid.

Copy/Paste the link into your browser window. I'm not sure why it's not linking directly to the page.

The original lines lasted 50 years, so a 3 three year warranty isn't too impressive. It does smell like brake fluid, I wonder what the effect of changing fluid types is on the 50 year old seals in the pump and pistons.

They sell a seal kit for the pump. I took mine apart the other day and it looks simple to rebuild. I'm going to order the seal kit today. I've got a leaking cylinder so I need to replace those anyway. My original lines shattered and leaked under the back seat.

I didn't think a 5 year warrantee was a bad deal. How long did the factory warrantee their stuff?

You can also have a look on E-bay. I search for lines for my Dart and found these.
