Actually I'd think there are a lot of excuses for not cleaning up the back orders immediately. Rome wasn't built in a day and all of that.

Typical of today's thinking, excuses
They bought the "name" for instant credibility, not making good on these back orders will take that name down faster than anything else. Maybe those guys just wanted a established machining facility to make their Chevy blocks. I imagine there's a ton of offshore racing engines, like truck pullers.

Problem is the op hasn't made very many posts. Gestapo told me there is a criteria to be met of taking the time to post in enough threads before you can make certain posts. Insane as that sounds, it's true.

I'd hoped they'd make good, but guys keep coming forward to say they've been left in the dark. Too bad censorship has reached a new low here, in 15+ years I've not seen such, but it's the new reality. Appears the guy waiting three years had his posts whacked in the other thread.

I want my fair share

I don't think they are liquid enough to clear up all the back orders immediately. I am sure they need to push some new blocks out to paying customers so they can afford to take care of the back orders. The waiting is difficult I am sure but not as difficult as if KB went under and there was 0% chance of getting your block.

Are you assuming you know what the obligations are for the back orders or do you actually know the terms of the sale? For all I know, the new owners are not obligated to fill the back orders. I haven't seen the contract so I don't know what the new owners bought and what they didn't buy.

I just hope they were smart enough to make one of the conditions that the only thing that former management can have to do with company money is cashing their paychecks.

I think the key here is COMMUNICATION. It sounds like these guys who are waiting on blocks just want to know what is going on, not expecting a block on their doorstep tomorrow.

I'm sure no one knows the details of the "contract" except the owners. Any business is about integrity, would you deal with a company that tells previous customers, someday, maybe, or nothing at all. Who knows, you put your money down then along the way,a glitch, now you're on "back order" feel all warm inside now?

Just think if out of the clear blue the new partners said the heck with it, we don't owe anyone nothing. Take us to court and we will deal with it in about 7 years. What difference would it make as they are getting a bad rap on one of the biggest mopar websites out there.

Exactly. Getting trashed constantly by people who evidently have no idea how lucky they are seems to me the best reason to give them what they want. And that is to go to court and get nothing.

For every block that KB fills in back order, I'd suspect that they have to sell 3-4 blocks just to keep even.

Better the devil you know...

How on earth is sending a company $7k over two years ago with so far nothing to show for it..."lucky" ???

That's some freaking twisted logic!!! haha

You obviously have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. Keep praising the new owners and thank ken black for being a crook, liar and a cheat. I have talked to everyone involved and have learned a lot. You obviously know nothing...

But....but......but.......

According to the 1/17 press release by the new management, everyone owed a block would be contacted by a dealer(by 1/27/17 iirc)and you'd know when to expect your block.

You mean to say......... That didn't happen????

I'm sure the guy with the oldest unfilled order, who found out that his block went to someone else, is feeling very lucky.

Anyone that sent them money two years ago must not do a lot of research before sending money to someone. No way in hell would I have done that

Exactly. I don't mind someone asking for a deposit, even a 50% deposit. But when someone asks for full payment up front, and you do it, that's on you. Like I said, your only hope is these guys make it right. Otherwise you are out all of it. So instead of losing 7000 you'll be losing double that, or more to replace what you paid for and didn't get.

If you've been around this sport for more than a week or two, you should know when someone is asking for a full price deposit they are using your money to fill someone else's order, hoping some other sucker will come along later and do the same thing to that guy to fill your order.

Like I said, lucky someone came along and bought the company. It could have went broke and you lose. All of it.

Me, I'd have waited til the doors closed and bought what little there was for pennies on the hundred and then moved on.

You guys are lucky you even have a chance you'll get anything.

I think if the new management would have just come out and said, right in the beginning....."hey, look....... We need to generate some positive cash flow from the endeavor before we start filling back ordered blocks, and that's likely going to take 12-18 months".

Sure, there would have been whining....... But at least they would have laid it all out up front.
