friend of mine is looking at installing 4 wheel disc on his 71 a-body.

He already as stock front discs with larger bolt pattern front and rear.

He is looking for a pro touring setup.

who sells aftermarket 4 wheel disc setups
or
is there a cheaper alternative using brake parts from a modern car.
thanks

Msster Power Brakes http://www.mpbrakes.com/ makes them for A-Bodies. We use SSBC http://www.ssbrakes.com/ on the Pro-Touring cars that we build at Time Machines. http://www.timemachinesinc.com/

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

For the front

He can bolt on a set of 11.75" dia rotors from the parts store for like ~$75ea or less. And then buy the 11.75" caliper adapters for alike $50-$75 a set. Same bearing and calipers he has now.

Will not look bling but will work as good a 10.75" rotors with 4 piston drag car brakes like in the wilwood basic kit.

you have to get the adapters used. To get the rotors, just tell them you have a 78 Cordoba with a 400

that's what I did & made a world of difference(I cheated though & added some better quality pads). If you do need to replace calipers the 76 A body ones have a 2.75" piston dia as opposed to 2.60" in 73-5 A bodys, gives you more bias toward the front where you need it most.

same car as the rotors...late 70's Cordobas/Magnums and the like (4-door counterparts like B-body furys) are where i've seen 'em.
