I know what the book says and I know the same converter will stall at different speeds depending on whats in front of it but talking about a stock rebuilt converter from a company like Dacco or Transtar and a near stock motor I have never seen one stall much above 15-1600 but I have only been in the trans buisness for 20+ years so I may be a newcomer to all this. BTW I built the 904 that is in his car.

I've been around for a while too and if I had an 11" converter that wouldn't stall above 1500 on a 340 or 360 I'd be looking for a sick motor or faulty brakes.
