Can someone tell me what the length of a Gen 3 hemi is from the bell to the surface that the motor plate would mount? Wondering how close it is to my small block.

Thanks. That helped a lot. Does anyone know if the motor plate attaches directly to the front of the block?

Attaches to the Timing cover.

Is that a car or truck timing cover?

Any idea how tall the timing cover is? I have all of the other measurements I need.

It starts out as a truck cover, AEI does some machining on it to get rid of extras that are not needed. Nothing you couldn't do though.

Brian, it's almost identical to a big block believe it or not.

My midplate when from .090 to .125 and my front motor tabs didn't have to move. I was able to slide the trans back the little bit I needed to make it work. Switching from a big block

So, I could leave the trans alone and possibly just add a .100 ish shim between the motor plate and chassis tabs? If so, that would be great.
