My wife drives a 2007 Nitro. She loves it. It has better than 40,000 miles so far (yea, she drives it a lot !!!), and so far no issues with the drive train.

I read on a Nitro forum allot of complaints with vibration in the tranny, torque converters etc... with a few thousand miles, but they did not mention the year built.

There is a vibration on low rpm's when climbing a grade, and we did take it back to the dealershipn when this occured. We were advised that it is due to the tranny being in the gear it is in, and the torque that is being exerted on it by the engine, causing this. It doesn't do it unless the vehicle is going up a grade in a higher gear at a slow rate of speed, if you can understand that explanation. It doesn't seem to be detrimental to the operation of the vehicle, at least it hasn't so far. A bit more throttle makes the tranny downshift, and the vibration is gone.
