Here is a picture of the ProFlo that I had for a while. (sold it on Moparts to a member)

I don't have a ruler in the picture but you can kind of figure out how tall it is by looking at the other parts on the engine. I think the Pro Flo is roughly the same height as a Victor intake plus a carb. So you are saving a couple of inches that the air cleaner usually takes up.

The hassle is the throttle body clearance around the thermostat housing and upper radiator hose and all of that stuff. I'm sure people have figured it out but I haven't seen a lot of pictures posted. There is at least one Moparts member who has a Pro Flo in his E body. I remember seeing pictures of it before and it looked really clean.

The good news is if you go CNP you can ditch the distributor and use one of my cam sync units. That eliminates a bunch of interference issues with the throttle body and the distributor and cleans up the front of the engine.

Dam. That's super slick. If I'd known that would possibly fit under my stock hood I'd gone with this setup. Those runners look to be a straight shot to the valves. Can it be opened up to Max Wedge ports?

You would need to add weld material to the outside of the runners to make it big enough to work on a Max Wedge. The Pro Flo has really tiny ports out of the box. More show than go. I bet they work great once they are ported but I've never run one.

Thanks Andy. After I receive my 337 intake from Summit I'll be sending it off to Wilson for the Max Wedge port work and having the bosses drilled for the injectors. I've been in contact with Rich and will be ordering the FAST XFI system thereafter. Thanks for the outstanding information from you and Rich.

The throttle body fits with a 90 on the water neck. Here's a CNP 440 using that manifold. It fits under a flat hood.

I've had both the Victor and Pro-Flo on my 493 in the Charger. The Victor with throttle body fits under the hood but I had to build a custom air cleaner. It worked but the intake air temp was quite high so I changed up to the Pro-Flo and CNP. Air intake was moved in front of the rad and reduced the intake charge temperature dramatically. I didn't find any real difference in performance but as stated, the Pro-Flo has small runners.

Looks good with the coils mounted on the side of the intake. Nice looking engine with the Pro Flo on there.

I wanted a proflow but it only supports a 90mm TB. So ill be doing a elbow and hiding the coils down low beside the block.

The 337 intake must be pretty popular. Summit revised the ship date from 8/4 to 8/14. Also went up on the price from about $250 to $377.

I'll be interested to see if you actually get an intake from Summit. They might just keep revising the ship date out..........

I don't think it is Summit's fault, Mopar Performance probably lies to them. I think MP waits until they have a bunch of backorders and then they ask the foundry to cast some intakes. So depending on where you are in line you might get an intake right away or it might take months.

I know a guy who grabbed several of those intake last time they were physically available so they do actually appear from time to time but I do not have any insight on when they will appear next. Hopefully you'll get yours right away. They are a really good intake once you get your hands on them.

Thanks Andy. If they revise them again I'll cancel my order and look hard at the Edelbrock pro flow intake.
