Have you had your shafts checked for balance? Something is wrong if the bearings are getting eaten up so quickly.

That's going to be one very long shaft. I wouldn't do it.

I've been reading on other sites that it's a common occurrence that the hanger bearings fail on these trucks. I've had 2 failures because of bearings and now the second one for he rubber isolator failing. I saw a company on eBay that builds aluminum driveshaft for these trucks and ive read mopar makes a shaft that will work but I can't find a part number

My 06 megacab had a 2-piece. I replaced it with a factory one piece. Cost about $600 and has been on for about 75,000 miles now with no problems. The megacab was on the longest frame they made, but it's a 4x4 so the transfer case eats some of the length. Google around for the part number. I don't remember it off the top of my head

http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/ I was going to use one of there shafts for my old 2011 Dodge 3500 LB Dully. But ended up trading it in on the truck I have now. A few guys on my Diesel truck site have them and really like them
