I'm surprised it did not blow the ohmmeter fuse. If you have NO draw with the clock disconnected (scale on low amps) or pull a batt cable at midnight & no spark then I think you are OK as far as no unwanted draw. Are you haveing an issue (such as batt running down)?

With my battery out and an ohm meter with one lead connected to the positive battery terminal and the other connected to the neg. terminal, I get 70 ohms with just the clock on. If I do the math correct, that is 180 miliamps of draw or .18 amps. Is that normal? Thanks. That's not how you do it. You cannot get an accurate resistance reading with another battery in the circuit. Now if you'd of put the leads in the ammeter connections and put the knob on mA you would have gotten an accurate reading.

Alright (you're off the hook!). yes that small of a draw is normal & all good.

The best way to check draw is with an ammeter. I use my digital fluke and put it in series with the battery and cable. On a stock 70 Mopar you should see very little if any. The newer cars say up to 50 mili-amps is ok. Unless you added something on the car that gets a hot all the time feed you should see about 0 to maybe 10 mili-amps. If you added something like a newer radio with a hot all the time feed you might see 10 to 20 mili-amps. I can tell you on the Dodge Dynasty we would see about 250 mili-amps if the glovebox lite was on. And that could drain a battery overnight if it was not a real strong battery. Ron
