a while back i had posted about "sneaking" race fuel and got my but chewed...well the new rules came out this year and looks like race gas is a go. when i talked to the guy in charge he said "everybody is running it anyhow". so my question is what do you all recommend?? seems like there are 100 different types. engine is a single carb 446 with iron heads and 11:1 CR.

Since I ragged on you about it, I'll say... dont use
any more octane than is need to fend of detonation,
you dont need much but you WONT need more than a 100

I havent seen much difference in brands but I use to
buy Torco alot

thanx that is the answer i was looking for. i will try to stay with the closest 100 octane i can find.

the only other question i had was what if i used 110 or 112 and mixed it with pump 93 to save on cost?? wouldnt a 1:1 mix give me 100 or 102??

Check out this site. You can get a lot of good info. There also a tech line you can call to get info on right octane for your application, mixing, etc.
