would like to know from anyone with experience on this ,is it really a necessity to run a bronze cam gear/pump drive on anything under say 600 lift ive never hade a factory shaft fail, I cand accept the price of a new one

Do you have a billet cam? The bronze gear isn't needed if your cam is cast. Lift has nothing to do with it, it's the incompatibility of the billet cam with the iron pump gear.

its a iron cam after a bit of research I got that conclusion thanks
