I ran 2" lowering blocks b-4 I switched to cal-tracs and still do w/out any issues but, make sure you use good billet ones not the cheap pot metal hollow ones sold locally.

a 4x4/off road center should have billet ones , they even make some with an angle on them to help with seting pinion angle

I ran 1" cast allum blocks, lasted about a year before spliting.
Just did a set of 2" cast iron truck blocks and had then angle milled for pinion angle.

I have bin running 2" alum billet blocks for a log time.

There was a post on here with a set that you could change the angle on by changing a small plate on top, looked like a real nice setup to me.
