Just need one to cut a window in for rotor phasing so it doesn't need to be functioning well, just intact. Willing it to pay for it and shipping, just not more than a new one costs.

Drill a 1/2 diameter hole in the top of the cap near the #1 tower and run it that way. The hole in the cap doesn't hurt anything.

Since the topic came up on MSD caps anybody else have issues with the ones they are selling? Seems they aren't nearly as good as the older ones. The carbon in the center doesn't seem to last anytime at all. Any body else having this issue? I don't think the quality has been very good lately.

My phasing was way off on my Pro-Billet. Turned out the two wires coming out of the distributer were swapped at the connector at the factory by MSD.

Thanks everyone! Didn't realize how many guys had spares lying around LOL, I received a few PM's I'm replying to now so looks like you guys got it covered for me. Thanks Moparts!

JBC426, I have been hearing of a lot of quality issues with the MSD's lately, especially with them being out of phase from the factory. I actually purchased a TSP pro billet knock off at first and the funny thing was the quality overall of the distributor actually looked nicer than the MSD (and they actually ALL billet instead of the plastic cap mounting surface). Only issue was I received two of them both with the rotor mounting piece welded on crooked to the point that the rotor would wobble badly when spun. Looks like you just can't win anymore LOL

As been pointed out just drill the hole and run that cap. We have done it that way for years...

I was going to just drill the hole but I figured the cap with the window will save me trouble in the future on other cars or this one, I could keep it around as a tool LOL. Plus its just a little easier to see with a bigger cutout.
