I used a cut down C body rear end 8 3/4 for my 67 dart. We rebuilt the thing but it needs the drums as they were missing.

Is this what I need? any ideas?

also, what do I measure to make sure I buy the right ones. I KNOW they are the large ones.

There were 11x2, 11x2.5, and 11x3. The backing plates are what determines width.

Measure the width of the shoe thats attached, assuming it belongs with that backing plate...

Big Dave...Bil here in VV. For Billies Satellite that I am working on, I used the 11 x 2 1/2 drums and shoes. I upgraded to the 11 inch size to give it better stopping performance. I have manual disc brakes on the front. Most of the C Body rear ends were either 11 x 2 12 or 11 x 2 3/4 brake shoes either width sized drums. I had the 11 inch backing plates already so a swap was all I needed to do with new hardware and shoes. If you really need some help here, I can get some extra parts I have here to you and you can get the drums and shoes from any parts supplier. As you know I have my C and my Brother's here at the house so no worries about what you might need. Oh...and most C Body backing plates were the 11 inch type with certain B Body's having 11 inch drums as well. Let me know what ya need...Bill

OK, here are the brake pads, they measure at 2 1/2 inches. So I just need 11x 2 1/2 drums--CORRECT?? And I already have the cylinders and will buy new pads and the drum kit to go with them. My backing plates are ok, arnt they? they measure at 11" per the pic at the top.

Yep Dave...That is correct. 11 x 2 1/2 inch drums will work perfectly.

I ordered mine through NAPA last year. Watch out, they are heavy.

I'd measure the backing plate first.

If you're trying to do it on the cheap, 11 x 2.5 drums can be found in the junkyard on up to mid '80's trucks and especially vans--usually uncut and in good condition since the fronts do most of the braking.

actually 2.5 inch pads should be for a 3 inch drum.
