Body shop wants to know what is the correct way to install them, thick side out on fender, is that correct?

If my memory serves me correctly, the fat side goes to the fender. The other way the gap is too big. Ive seen them both ways. My car had the fat side on the fender when I took it apart. It's been a long time but I'm pretty sure about that.

Ok disregard my first statement here. Not enough coffee I guess. The fat part goes under neath the cone. The skinny part is exposed. It puts the nose closer to the hood and fenders.

I believe its the thin side towards the fender. Maybe Doug Schellinger can chime in to confirm.

So the fat side sits inside the cone, thin side outside edge of cone?

I agree. That's the way mine was. Ok. I just re read my first post. It did not make sense. That fat part goes under the nose cone
