quick question - planning on wiring in my Hyfire 6 and promaster coil today, the small red wire says to connect to a switched 12 volt source such as ignition key, on a 72 E-body the bulkhead has cavity 22(ign start) and #23(ign run) do I wire this to both or just one of these ? If just one which one. Also per their directions it looks like I don't need the ballast is this right ?
i'm confused since all the wiring is out of car and i'm rebuilding the bulkhead wiring.

Well, the ign start (primary ign circuit) is only hot when the key is turned all the way and when you release it, it is no lomger hot. So you want to use the ign run (secondary ign circuit).
