Does anyone have or know the option code when ordering a 71 Hemi 'Cuda w/ the 1/2 vinyl top?
The one that sold new in KC had a 1/2 vinyl top when new.
Does anyone have pictures of it? It was an orange car with orange interior IIR correctly.
Drove home 12 miles from the Dealer and the engine pulled and 12 1/2 pistons were put in to race it.
Those were the days.
It was at the NHOA meet in Denver in '79.
I think there is a side shot of it in Popular Hot Rodding.

What does the fender tag / broadcast sheet show for V codes if any?

Dealer installed top. Just like how charger 500's and Daytona's got tops.

Did you buy it new?

I think I have a picture of a 73-ish Barracuda with one.

Yep. Guy at work here has a 72 Challenger with 1/2 vinyl top. I am not a fan of vinyl tops to begin with, and the half ones just don't do anything for me.

Also, about 12 years ago there was a Dodge Charger 500 (flush glass and headlights) that was in Mopar Nats parts swap area that had a half top installed. IIRC it also had those little fuzzy balls hanging along the top of the wind shield on the inside. So they were definitely a thing at some point in time.
