Eddy head users what plugs are you running? Buddy has a 11-1 496 in a 68 B body he just picked up and we're getting it ready for upcoming race weekend.

I'd use NGK-6987 which is a Jeep plug. It is cheap ($1.97 each from Summit) has a projected tip and a wide gap. If you have a good ignition system you should be able to fire it. This is the plug I use in my pump gas engines.

Andy thanks for the quick reply, it has NGK BKR6E's he hasn't ran the car yet so just want to prep it for his first test/tune night out. He has MSD 6 and MSD dizzy also a couple pails of 110 for it and will use that this race weekend.

The 6 series plug is too warm for that compression. I'd go with a BCPR7ES. Same plug I run in the 572 @ 10.75:1. I ran one heat range warmer in the old 446 which had 10.2:1

Hey Ron, I thought that plug(6) was too warm. The 7's were what I ran before as well when I had the roots blower.

At 12.1 I've street driven and raced w/ 7's and 8's and prefer 8's in hotter weather and 7's when it's cold w/lower engine temps....... thumbs

Autolite AR3911 or 3912 for projected tips and 39932 or 3933 for restracted gaps up
In Champions I would try RC9YC and see how they look, cheap and easy to find thumbs
